Spencer D. W. Ball is a litigation lawyer with Desmarais Keenan LLP, with a particular focus on personal injury, insurance law, estate litigation, and commercial litigation.
 
Spencer was born in Penticton, British Columbia, but raised in Guelph, Ontario. He moved to Sudbury in 2007 and is a proud resident of the Long Lake area. Spencer obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Guelph in 2008, after which he attended law school at the University of Western Ontario where he earned a Juris Doctor degree in 2011.
 
Spencer articled and then practiced in the litigation department of a prominent regional law firm for several years and later practiced at a leading litigation boutique in southern Ontario. He has extensive experience in the areas of personal injury, insurance law, estate litigation and commercial litigation. Spencer has litigated cases in nearly every county and district in the Province at both the trial and appellate level, including the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Jordan Derro is a general practice lawyer with a focus in family law.
 
Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Jordan graduated in the Charter Class of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in May of 2016 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in September 2016. During law school he completed his Integrated Practice Curriculum placement at the Sudbury Crown Attorney’s Office where he gained valuable experience conducting legal research on a wide variety of criminal law files, appearing on behalf of the Crown on provincial offences prosecutions and assisting with a Coroner’s inquest. After joining the firm as a law student in July of 2016, Jordan now practices with Desmarais Keenan and has successfully advocated in Small Claims Court. Jordan is excited to have joined our experienced team and looks forward to serving the people of Sudbury throughout his career.
